Important: This center support holds one curtain rod and works with Kwik-Hang single curtain rod brackets (sold separately).

Keep longer curtain rods straight and sturdy. This Kwik-Hang center support bracket holds a single rod at its midpoint, preventing the sag that sets in once a rod stretches past 60 inches. It taps into the top of your wooden window trim with a hammer, just like our corner brackets, so there is still no measuring, leveling or drilling.

Kwik-Hang no-drill curtain rod brackets have attached pins that secure the bracket into the window frame – not the wall – eliminating measuring, drilling and wall damage. Simply hammer the bracket into the top of the frame with just a few taps and you’re done!

You should buy brackets that suit the size of your curtain rod. Curtain rod size depends on the type of curtains you want to hang.

  • 5/8-inch rods: Ideal for sheer or lighter curtains. Fits rods 1/2 - 5/8-inch diameter.
  • 1-inch rods: Best for heavy curtains or drapery. Fits rods with 3/4 - 1-inch diameter.
How many brackets do I need to purchase for my window? chevron down

You will need one set of brackets for each window. If your window is wider than 60”, please see the Window Size Help guide above for tips on support brackets.

How do I use Kwik-Hang curtain rod brackets on corner windows? chevron down

A corner window setup requires two curtain rods, one pair of curtain rod brackets (a left bracket and right bracket) and two center support brackets.

Follow our instructions for installing left and right brackets. Then install the center support brackets, each approximately 4 inches from the inner corner, as pictured below. (Click images to expand)

Remove one finial from each curtain rod and place your rods so that the finial ends point outward.

You may use a curtain rod corner connector if you wish, but it is not necessary.

Do I need a center support bracket? chevron down

Add one whenever your curtain rod extends more than 60 inches. Longer rods bow in the middle without support, especially under heavier drapes, so use one center support for windows 61 to 120 inches wide and two for windows 121 inches and wider.

Can I use the center support bracket on its own? chevron down

No. It is sold individually and is designed to work alongside the left and right corner brackets in a set of Kwik-Hang curtain rod brackets, which hold the ends of the rod while the center support carries the middle.

What is the difference between the single and double center support brackets? chevron down

This bracket supports one rod and pairs with single curtain rod brackets. The double center support bracket supports two rods at once and pairs with double curtain rod brackets for layered curtains.
